Morocco-born, London-based artist Hassan Hajjaj rounded off June’s Nicer Tuesdays Online with a fascinating talk outlining his career to date. Taking the form of a Q&A with It’s Nice That editor Matt Alagiah, we learned about Hassan’s early graphic works and some of the big names he’s gone on to to work with. It was a real treat for anyone wondering how to make it big in the art world, and was accompanied by a beautiful reel of some of Hassan’s incredible imagery.
Posing questions from the audience, we spoke to Hassan about why he’s reluctant to call himself an artist, the chaos of splitting his time between Morocco and the UK, and about how these locations continue to influence his work. With many more topics covered, make sure you catch up on the full talk above!
